Tabitha Batu-Tiako

Tabitha Batu-Tiako is a Marymount Manhattan College senior pursuing a BFA in Film & Media Production alongside a BA in Public Relations and Strategic Communications, with a minor in Digital Journalism. She has experience interning for the Miss America Iowa team as a content strategist and facilitating the annual IPop LA talent convention. She currently volunteers her services as she continues to hone her skills in video (post) production, content strategizing, fan engagement, and more. In 2025, she received her school's Dean's Award on Honor’s Day for her documentary Ritmos y Pinceladas.

Tabitha is pursuing a degree in film and media production to hone her technical skills in media production. She couples her interest in the film with her passion for the broader communications and entertainment industries. When it comes to media production, Tabitha has always gravitated towards non-fiction. Her love for the art started at a young age; she has been sharpening her skills since age 13. Her other major, public relations and strategic communications with a minor in digital journalism, is an extension of her love for entertainment. Tabitha hopes to work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry post-grad. Being a show runner has given her the best of both worlds. She will use her documentary experience and her social media strategizing experience to strengthen the show’s branding and promotions.
