Alyssa Polanco

Alyssa Polanco (she/her) is a filmmaker and actor working across film and music videos, drawn to stories that live at the intersection of performance and visual style. She's been creating her own work for years, while also collaborating on award-winning senior thesis films — including an experimental short that was recognized at the International New York Film Festival.

Whether she's behind the camera or in front of it, Alyssa’s focus is on emotion, rhythm, and atmosphere. Her work is cinematic, grounded, and often a little unexpected — always rooted in authentic storytelling and creative collaboration. Outside of filmmaking, Alyssa finds peace and expression in playing guitar and writing screenplays. She has a deep love for photography, capturing the world as she sees it through her lens.

Alyssa’s cinematic work often blends grounded reality with moments of the absurd, balancing dramatic flair with raw emotion to create something both entertaining and thought-provoking. While cinematography is where her creative eye shines, it’s the art of editing that truly feels like home. For Alyssa, editing is where the magic happens — it’s the space where the story comes together and where the emotion finds its rhythm. Currently based in New York City, Alyssa is always searching for new ways to express the feats of life through creativity.
