Alexandra Maxwell

Alexandra Maxwell is a senior Communication Arts student with a passion for storytelling across multiple mediums, from filmmaking to photography to performance.

 

She has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning a place on the Dean’s List throughout her college career. In her freshman year, Alexandra served as the Communication Arts Equipment Manager, gaining hands-on experience in media production and technical operations. She was selected for the prestigious Gotham EDU Student Summer Program, where she further honed her skills in filmmaking and industry networking. Her 2023 directing fiction project garnered critical acclaim, winning four awards across multiple film festivals. Beyond filmmaking, Alexandra is also an accomplished photographer, earning an honorary award in the "New” New York Academy Photography Competition and winning the Picture the City award in the Marymount Manhattan College Spring 2022 Photography Competition. In recognition of her academic and professional achievements, she was inducted into the Zeta Nu chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the national honor society of the National Communication Association, in 2024.
 

Outside of her academic and creative projects, Alexandra has actively pursued acting and has become SAG Eligible. She has worked on major movie sets alongside industry icons, including Morgan Freeman and Florence Pugh in 2021 and Adam Sandler in 2024. She made her Off-Off-Broadway debut in 2022, playing a supporting role in a Christmas play, and also starred in a short film that screened at AMC Theatre in Times Square the same year.
 

With a diverse and award-winning portfolio spanning film, photography, and performance, Alexandra is committed to pushing the boundaries of visual and narrative storytelling.
